Re: my xr4x4 and my mini resto project
the xr4x4 as standard is quoted at 150bhp for the 2.8 and 2.9 but the 2.9 is more like 160 standard. i've had mine dyno'd a while back and it was 192 bhp at the flywheel but it the torque that's impressive as it will pull 5th gear less than 20mph all the way to not sure as only had 135mph when i first got it at brunters before i did the mods.

Couple of quality projects you have going, i really like the sierra im not a massive fan of the wheels on it i think with some 17" BBS style wheels it would look even better but thats just personal choice. Would be wicked if you could get the Sierra out with us for a photo shoot soon matey

Re: my xr4x4 and my mini resto project
nah bbs 17's are too expensive plus so many bbs designs it would be what one's would look right on the sierra. The wheels on it were silver but needed refurb so i did them white to stand out from the crowd but i'm bored of the white now just don't know what to do with them as silver is boring and i'm thinking of having the sierra sign wrote to promote my business but in a touring car or rally style.
i'd love to have a photo shoot done on the sierra some time so thanks for the invite.

Re: my xr4x4 and my mini resto project
yer i've seen so many conversions for the mini from a modded a series to turbo a series to honda vtec with fwd, rwd, awd, vauxhall 8v and 16v and turbo, v6, v8, bike engine fwd or rwd, and 7 port head 8 port head for the a series and 16v kad head plus k1000 bmw and k1100 bmw cylinder head conversions there's so many out there but for this mini i think that i'll just be doing a full engine rebuild port the head more upgrade the camshaft and pistons and balance everything in the engine and see if i can break the 100bhp as i had near 90 bhp in it last time with the mods i had and should go very well in a car that weighs less than 600kgs but i will be building another one in the future with a extreme power plant and loads of power i did start a v6 conversion in my last mini but it was so much hassle trying to sort out all the unforseen problems that arose.

Re: my xr4x4 and my mini resto project
been having fun in the snow as of late but now i have had to jet wash the whole car including the underside to get rid of all the salt and road grime.
still not decided what to do on the wheel front at the moment looking at getting another set for winter use and may even get a spare set for summer aswell looking at some escort cosworth style mondeo wheels due to them being cheaper and they fit inside the wheel arches. already tried escort cosworth wheels of mate's saph cos but they stick out on the front of mine as the xr has the widest track by 1.5 inches over every sierra and looking at fitting some spacers to the rear to even the track up as all sierra's seem to sit too far in on the rear.
